Speaking of animations, those games that are 2k were actually ahead of the time over 10 decades back. It has been like 10+ years because EA ruined soccer matches with this exclusivity contract that is terrible. Was really funny(sad) since 2k began selling their titles for like $20 off iirc simply to tell everybody they were so confident in their product, their engine and their franchise that they would use it basically in certain ways as a loss leader for a year at least simply to get people simply to give them a opportunity. Then EA was like"fuck competition, we're going to pay the NFL so that we can be the only game in town". If there's anything that makes me despise EA above all else, it was this. To be honest then Sega did exactly what EA did with soccer to baseball, eliminating this exceptional MLB franchise (MVP Baseball) to force their terrible franchise on everybody. These firms always discover a means around having to compete, although competition is good.

Not minding it, only that every press release was"EA pays the NFL $300 million to get exclusive rights are the only NFL video game" type of stuff. Nothing regarding the NFL being miserable and initiating the talks. Just seems like it was Madden game companies with deep pockets seeking to subvert the contest. The MLB did so as shortly after without any discount shenanigans that are bizarre. The deal, one EA admits to having lobbied for over the past couple of decades, is an exclusive five-year licensing agreement granting EA the rights to the NFL's teams, stadiums, and Madden players. However, the writer and Madden gamers Inc. denied a similar deal was in the works in May 2004, even requesting books that ran the story run people retractions.

You think I'm saying they were forced by them into it? They came up with this anti-competition strategy because by offering their match considerably cheaper so that they offered a boatload of money to the NFL 2K was looking great and threatened their cash. 2K could have, if EA hadn't ponied up the money. The permit gonned na no matter who obtained it happen.

But from what I've heard/read through time, a big part of why the NFL did it was because they didn't like 2K promoting a"discount product" with NFL branding on it. 2K could have if EA had not ponied up the cash. The permit was gonna regardless of who obtained it happen. Was not this the first deal like this of its own kind? Was the NFL even considering this as a chance before EA was"calling for it for years" or whatever? Here is where I sort of wanted some proof, as to me this doesn't seem inevitable with no EA going opening a line of dialogue and offering hundreds of millions, although this might be the situation.
